Five Reasons that Orange Kids Furniture is a Great Choice for Kids Playrooms

* Sparks Activity – Orange is a lively color and when added to a kids playroom it will spark kids to be more active and playful in the space.

* Enhances Desire to Be Social – If your child is a little shy or introverted or likes to hang with friends then orange is the perfect color for the playroom. This color stimulates a person’s desire to communicate and get more social, so it’s the ideal color to add where kids will hang out with friends.

* Instills Joyfulness – Orange (Pumpkin) is a very happy color that makes people feel joyful when they see it.

* Makes the Space Inviting – When kids come to play or hang out the play space will feel very inviting if there’s orange furniture all around.

* Healing Powers – Orange is believed to have healing powers and has been used by many natural healers to treat several types of ailments. So if you surround your kids with this wonderful color they may end up being healthier in the long run…it can’t hurt!

When I first came across the Cappuccino Phoenix Full/Double Platform Bed by Coaster it was love at first sight! After learning all about its amazing features including the headboard with 6 shelves and several bottom drawers, plus the modern design that creates quite a contemporary looking kid’s bedroom I was sure I was really in LOVE!

Phoenix platform bed by CoasterIf my kids didn’t have beds in their rooms already this would totally be my pick! It’s obvious why I decided to feature this platform bed in the modern design category…it’s because of its modern look and modern functionality! I also LOVE it because it’s a full size bed, so two kids could sleep there if needed or you could put this bed in a guest bedroom when your child is off to college.

Today’s modern kids would go totally nuts with a bed like this in their room and you would be thrilled too, since things would most likely, “fingers crossed” stay neat and tidy because of all the storage spaces.

Unique Organizing Tips from an Expert

I came across this great video about organizing a kid’s bedroom or playroom and I just had to share it! I put the tips in writing below, but it’s worth watching to really see her organization ideas come to life. Hope you enjoy it!

Tip #1: Collect half your kid’s toys and get rid of the ones he doesn’t play with and put the others in a box in the attic. In six months you can pull down that toy box and your child will think it’s his birthday!

Tip #2: Get some flexible and adjustable storage bins and baskets. Put just one type of kids toy in each basket, such as leggos, puzzles etc… Put one basket on the shelf of the storage bin. Then label the bins by taking a picture of that exact basket and items in it, then create a sign with the picture of the basket and name of the items inside it. Hang that label from the top of the bin, so a child knows exactly what’s supposed to go on that shelf.

Tip #3: Add a bookshelf to the room. Take a thin strip of wood and put it on the front edge of each shelf. Place books facing outward, so your child can read the title. If you store baskets on the bookshelf remember to only put one type of toy in each basket. Take a picture of each basket and create a sign for each, then tape the sign on the bottom of the shelf where that basket goes. This way, no child or adult can say “I didn’t know where it goes!” when asked why they didn’t clean up.

I hope these tips help you get your kid-space in order. If you didn’t watch the video, I’d recommend you do so you can hear all of her great tips on organizing kid’s rooms.

Get Wild with White Kids Beds

If you saw all the crazy, wild colors in my house you’d flip. When walking from room to room you get greeted by new colors with every turn. I have pretty much covered the color scale by having rooms in purple, blue, green, brown, tan, yellow and bathrooms that have a mix of all kinds of whimsical shades.

That’s why I’m a HUGE fan of white kids furniture. You can take a white kids bed, plop it into any color bedroom and it will look amazing. To prove my point I’ve picked four white kids beds to showcase below in a variety of room colors to show you how you can get wild with white kids beds!

This is a great kids bed for any room where you need some storage options added to the sleep space.

Purple is by Far a Favorite of Mine, Especially Against a White Kids Bed!

SouthShore Summer Breeze Mates BedI just want to smile and smile when I look at this white Vanilla Cream Summer Breeze Country Mates Bed by SouthShore against a purple wall. Selena Twin Bed by CoasterI thought I’d also show how lovely white kids beds can look when paired with a neutral wall color. The White Selena Twin Sleigh Bed by Coaster would be gorgeous anywhere, but when against a neutral colored wall it creates a very sophisticated looking kid space or guest bedroom. It looks so warm and inviting that it makes me want to lie down and take a nap!
